Long time, no post. We had the most EPIC ski day of all time March 2nd and then springtime hit just in time for the first race.
First, let me tell you about the ski day. Backside of Pebble, freak snowstorm, 2 feet of fluff, bluebird day and COLD. We skied Sherwood forest and it was steep and deep. Got the McChute on the second run and the 3rd run was even better. Here is the conversation: Kris: "Let's do one more." Bob: "Do we have time?" Kris: "Where do we have to be?" So, we did 3 big runs and got back to the parking lot around 5:30.
Then, the weather turned warm and it was bike time again. Got my new SRM amateur installed on my TT bike and rode it a few times before the first race of the year for me--the Jason Broom TT in Boise. Not sure if the SRM is calibrated correctly, but I had a good ride, good enough to take 1st in the women's field with a 24:35 over 10 miles. 24.4 mph and the SRM read 239 average watts. For March, I'll take it. But I will do the calibration procedure on the SRM to make sure.
Bike racing season is here, but I'm still hoping for one more good snowstorm!
